Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A mold-cast bronze panel with a standing depiction of Isis, the Egyptian goddess of motherhood and fertility. She wears a veil and holds one arm to her chest while beneath a palm-frond-adorned doorway. The plaque is covered in thick green and brown patina. Isis, an ancient Egyptian goddess, struck a chord with the polytheistic Romans, and her worship spread throughout the Roman Empire during the early centuries of the Imperial Period. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 1.1″ W x 2.375″ H (2.8 cm x 6 cm); 3.375″ H (8.6 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition: Light fading to raised imagery and minor abrasions, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits as well as great green and brown patina throughout.
