Early 19th C. Spanish Colonial Silver Plate - Mexico

New World, Mexico, Spanish Colonial period, ca. early 19th century CE. A simple, elegant silver plate with small indents spaced regularly to divide the flat rim into five parts and give it a floral appearance from above. This plate was almost certainly used for collecting alms in a church. Size: 7.9" W x 0.35" H (20.1 cm x 0.9 cm) (368.5 g)

Condition: Polished to a high sheen, with tiny areas of tarnish and encrustation in lower profile parts and on the underside.
