Roman Marble Bust of Eros (Cupid)

Roman Empire, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. Lovely creamy marble portrait of the god of erotic love, attraction and affection. He is often portrayed as the son of the love goddess Venus and the war god Mars. Roundish cherubic face with tight curly locks of hair. A very sweet example! Size: 3.25" W x 4.25" H (8.3 cm x 10.8 cm); 6.375" H (16.2 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition: features a bit soft, missing body and much of back of the head, but still a lovely example
