Lot of 2 Sassanian Rock Crystal Seals

Ancient Near East, Sassanian (Sassanid) Empire, ca. 500 CE. A pair of near-translucent rock crystal (quartz) seals, each perforated vertically for suspension, disc-shaped aside from one flattened face which depicts an incised motif. One features a man in profile, wearing a helmet and with a fulsome beard. The other has a romping lion with a magnificent beard. The back of the latter is also incised to have a dimpled surface. Size of largest: 1.05" W x 0.9" H (2.7 cm x 2.3 cm)

Condition: Both are in good condition, with clear motifs. Light encrustation in lower profile areas. Both are accompanied by modern clay stamps showing their motifs.
