Gandharan Terracotta Molded Disc with Figure

Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gandharan Empire, ca. 1st century CE. A fascinating molded ceramic disc, made from a red clay, depicting a standing human figure with its arms raised, surrounded by small zoomorphic shapes. A drilled through hole on one side allows this disc to be suspended. Size: 3.6" W (9.1 cm); 5" H (12.7 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition: Small losses from edges. Motifs are smoothed over time but form is still clear.
