Central Asia, Tibet or western China, ca. early 20th century CE. A silver openwork pendant depicting three standing older men and a deer on a floral background on one face, and three similar men and a large bird on the other. Both the deer and bird are auspicious symbols of Buddhism. A loop for suspension at the top. Well done and rare! Size: 1.95" W (5 cm); 16.5 grams

Condition: Patina on surface from age and handling. Well preserved motifs.
