Bactrian Glass, Faience, & Shell Beaded Necklace

Central/Western Asia, Bactrian Empire, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A lovely necklace with an attractive design comprised of dozens and dozens of faience, glass, and shell beads - in hues of white, green, and deep purple with several of the glass beads presenting shimmery iridescence - and a stunning vessel-shaped agate pendant of beige, white, and taupe hues. All beads are ancient, strung in modern times, and fastened with a silver-tone clasp. Beautiful and ready to wear! Size: 27" L (68.6 cm) + 2" W x 1.25" H (5.1 cm x 3.2 cm) pendant

Condition: Agate pendant has a few scuffs and minute nicks to edges. Other beads show normal wear commensurate with age; some have developed a lovely iridescence. All beads are ancient. Strung in modern times. Clasp is modern.
