A pair of diminutive mummiform ushabtis molded in turquoise faience, each rising from a simple plinth with arms crossed over the chest in the canonical posture of the blessed dead. A modern brass bail loop is adhered to the top of both for use as pendants.
Provenance: private J. M. collection, Fountain Hills, Arizona, USA via family descent. Mother acquired these in 1984 at Elle Gallery, San Francisco, CA, USA
Condition: Very Good. Pitting and softening to details. Fading to glaze. Stable striation / gouge across one face. Modern brass bail loops added to the tops for wearing.
