Carved, red volcanic stone male figure, squatting on his haunches with hands resting on knees, wearing a feathered headdress (most of the “feathers” missing), wide head band decorated with large raised circular discs and large ear spools. Integral rectangular base is decorated on all sides with registers containing a series of carved discs. Drilled cavity in chest. Some loss to the tip of the nose and lower lip. A few other minor losses, overall exc. cond. A beautiful example.

Size: 14″H x 8-3/4″L x 6-3/4″W at base.
