South Asia, India, Northern region, ca. 18th century CE. A large carved architectural panel of mottled pink sandstone, rectangular in form and adorned with finely executed Mughal-style motifs. The relief features a central cusped arch window flanked by two smaller arched panels, each surmounted by floral medallions and framed within recessed rectangular borders. The composition demonstrates the refined symmetry and ornamental style characteristic of Mughal architectural stonework, inspired by Persian artistic traditions. Presented on an old custom wood base. Size: 40″ L x 1.5″ W x 25.5″ H (101.6 cm x 3.8 cm x 64.8 cm); 28″ H (71.1 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition: Old losses along the peripheries as shown, but otherwise well preserved. Old chips and abrasions to a few of the low relief carvings. Scuffs and abrasions to the wood stand it is mounted on.
