Native American, Midwestern to Southeastern United States, Archaic to Woodlands era, ca. 8000 BCE to 1800s CE. A collection of bone and antler tools representing assorted find sites, presented in a rectangular wood and glass display case lined with green felt. The assemblage includes awls, points, wedges, and worked fragments showing varied degrees of polish, tapering, and wear consistent with utilitarian use, with several pieces exhibiting surface patina, minor losses, or natural fissures from age and burial. Size central labeled awl: 6″ L x 1″ W (15.2 cm x 2.5 cm); case: 18″ L x 12″ W (45.7 cm x 30.5 cm)

Condition: Tools show expected surface wear, patina, discoloration, and mineral staining, with scattered chips, edge losses, abrasions, and natural fissures consistent with burial and use. Several objects are adhered to the green felt backing and were not removed for inspection, and one has a tacky surface from adhesive / surface stabilizer. Case shows light wear, including minor surface abrasions to the wood frame. Inventory numbers and labels on surfaces of several.
