Native American, Northwestern United States, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Plateau Tribes, Nez Perce, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A group of four pairs of children’s leather moccasins decorated with colorful beadwork across the toes. The soft hide footwear displays traditional Plateau styling, with stitched construction and varied geometric and floral bead designs executed in glass seed beads. Size: 5.75″ L x 2.5″ W (14.6 cm x 6.4 cm)
Condition: Lightly to moderately worn conditions with staining and stiffening to outer soles. Tiny hole to the tip of one. Missing several beads, but beadwork is largely intact throughout.
