Near East, Luristan, ca. 1250 to 650 BCE. Two cast bronze dress or hair pins, both in fine condition. The larger pin boasts a vertically ribbed, spherical finial and a horizontally ribbed pin body with a perforated square stopper at the midway point as well as an overall dark patina with lovely spots of blue green oxidation. The smaller clothes pin is just as captivating with its multifaceted knob and gorgeous green patina. Custom, museum quality stand. Size: larger pin measures .625″ in diameter at the finial x 6.375″ H (1.6 cm x 16.2 cm); smaller measures .25″ in diameter at the finial x 3.25″ H (.64 x 8.3 cm); 7.375″ H (18.7 cm) on stand.
Condition: Both intact with nice patina.
