Gary Kuehn (American, b. 1939), Gesture Project lithograph, 1970. A Gary Kuehn Post-Minimalist abstract lithograph, foundational to his Gesture Project, numbered 67 of 250 in pencil on the upper left, signed and dated by the artist in pencil on the upper right. In the 1960s, Kuehn became a leading light in the Process Art and Post-Minimalist movements with groundbreaking exhibitions including “Eccentric Abstraction” curated by Lucy Lippard in 1966 and “When Attitudes Become Form” curated by Harold Szeeman in 1969. His works have been collected by the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Hamburger Behnhof, the Museum fur Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, and more.
