DescriptionVery rare and near-choice ancient Paste Glass Intaglio, ca 2nd to 3rd centuries AD. Mold-made in white, opalescent glass showing single standing male soldier, perhaps Minerva, carrying a spear in his left hand as he looks to his right, shield at his feet. 13mm x 11 mm, intact/choice, save tiniest chip. Would look wonderful mounted in a ring (as was probably the intention 1800 years ago!)
