Sloan's paintings have been exhibited in elite venues including the American Museum of Natural History, National Geographic Society's Explorers Hall, the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Gilcrease Museum, and more. Furthermore, his work has been included in twenty-five Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum Birds In Art exhibitions. What's more, in 1994 this museum honored Sloan with the esteemed title of Master Wildlife Artist.
