DescriptionVivid colors! Ancient Pre-Columbian Textile Band, ca. 800-1200 A.D. Wool and cotton fibers woven, slit tapestry technique; cranberry-red, blue, rust, green and white with repeating avian/geometric motif. Selvedge on two sides, one end retains most of fringe with area of loss backed by matching fabric. Professionally mounted on modern black fabric, reading for framing. 30-1/2"L (not including fringes) x 1-7/8"W, overall very good condition.
