DescriptionSPECIAL PURCHASE! Ancient Pre-Columbian Coca Bag from the south coast of Peru, ca. 900-1400 A.D. Naturally dyed camelid fibers woven in a simple, banded pattern with four tassel ends. Four selvedge ends. Bag would be formed by pulling together each of the ends. Sewn onto modern black fabric, ready for framing. Textile itself measures approximately 7-3/4" square, is intact with areas of wear.
