DescriptionFrom ancient Phoenicia, ca. 8th-7th century BC., solid silver ring with steatite scarab set in bezel (only top of scarab is visible); on either side of scarab is matching pair of rounded globular adornments. Approximately size 4. Heavy ring, perfectly wearable. Remnants of some bronze adherence is visible on the solid shank.
