DescriptionFrom Western Europe, probably France or Spain, ca. 13th to 14th century AD. Carved limestone corbel, most likely from a cathedral (see image to view how corbels were architecturally placed as part of a building). Rectangular stone base from which a man's head emerges, with squarish hairstyle still retaining great detail! 13"L x 6"W, intact/generally excellent, with expected losses, as shown.
