Contents include Pompeii, Rome including the Rome Coliseum, Egypt including the Sphinx, Greek Mythology including Zeus, Apollo, Pluto, Ceres, Juno, Diana, Vulcan, Athene, Trojan Heroes, Julius Caesar, and other historical ancient descriptions. Also includes Excavations in Troy, Nineveh, Babylon and the City of Pompeii, with its innumerable treasures, and unfolded long-hoarded secrets. In very good condition for its age - binding tight, pages clean with a few spots here and there, exterior covers fairly secure, interior front cover separating from spine (but still attached) but first 2 pages inner pages loose. Book measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" when closed. A very rare example...
