DescriptionAncient Pre-Columbian Stirrup, Moche III period, ca. 500-700 A.D. Pottery stirrup vessel depicting a seated, handless male figure wearing a headdress decorated with feline ear ornaments. Orange-brown ground highlighted with white painted details, with areas of mineral deposits on the surface. 7"H, stabilized hairline on left foot and on lower left rear, minor chip on right foot, some highpoint paint wear, otherwise intact/overall excellent.
