DescriptionFabulous form! From ancient China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 B.C.-220 A.D. Charcoal gray colored pottery vessel on a ring base, having a bulbous body with center, angular separation ridge, forming two panels; each containing a raised “eye” or swirled design. Repeated on opposite side, wide strap handles. Diamond opening at top. Liberal remaining bright red painted highlights. 6-3/4”H x 7”W, intact with surface encrustation, root marks and deposits.
