DescriptionVery attractive green faience amulet of Khnum - In Egyptian mythology, Khnum (also spelled Chnum) was one of the earliest Egyptian gods, originally the god of the source of the Nile River and creator of Earth through his potter's wheel. Dating to the Third Intermediate Period, Dynasties 21 thru 23, Ca 1075 through 715 BC. 40mm H by 12mm W and intact and generally excellent.
