DescriptionPre-Columbian, from the Atlantic Watershed Region, Costa Rica, Ca. 800 - 1200 A.D. Carved gray volcanic tuffa stone grinding table standing on tapered cylindrical tripod legs; carved openwork central structural support decorated with a stylized bat form; outer table edge carved with a serrated border. 16-1/4”L x 12-1/4”W x 6-5/8”H, two small edge losses, otherwise intact/generally excellent condition.
