Two Pre-Columbian Vessels from Ecuador & Colombia

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador and Colombia, ca. 1000 CE. A pair of pretty, nicely complementary pieces of pottery from ancient South America. One is a pretty red-slipped olla with an incised triangular design around its shoulder and a flared rim. The other is a bowl on five bulbous rattle legs with a nicely painted interior. Size of olla: 5.65" W x 5.6" H (14.4 cm x 14.2 cm)

Condition: Olla has been repaired at the rim; the bowl has been repaired from multiple pieces.

Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, Chicago, IL, acquired prior to 1970.
