Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A beautiful ancient bracelet comprised of blue glass with deeply saturated hues and marvelous silvery and purple iridescence, the bracelet of a substantive size with lovely ridged detailing on one section. After the invention of glassmaking, personal adornments were fashioned in man-made glass like this example. A lovely piece either for wearing or intended as a votive offering. Size: 3.125″ W (7.9 cm); opening measures 2.625″ W (6.7 cm)
Condition: Repaired in three places. Nice silvery and purple iridescence.
